I believe in spirits. I chose the word spirits over ghost mainly because of the imagery that surrounds the word “ghost’. The discussion of the supernatural is a very cloud and confusing subject to me. Often an aspect of human nature is to make sense out of things that don’t. But I try to stay away from things that involve ghost and such mainly because I have short nerves for scary or creepy things. I often get over my fears by diminishing the significance its existence. And once I do, I rather not revisit again. I do believe in spirits or ghost because I believe it is easier than not believing. By this I mean that if I say I don’t believe in ghost then there is no way for me to answer weird things that happen. My belief in ghost is not based on any sound logic or understanding. I did not get there because of some experience or thoughtful thinking. It is just one of those things where you believe in it or not and you can’t answer why.

If some one asks you ‘do believe in god and why’, how would you answer? Would you say yes because we have the Bible, the Torah or the Quran that says so? Would you say no because the whole idea is completely ridicules and any one that trust what those books say are gullible fools? I believe in god purely on the basis that I refuse to believe that the universe is run by some random occurrences and that the consequences of my action are random picked out of a hat. If so there got to be some one picking it out of the hat. There got to be some one who understands what goes on because I sure don’t. I hope that if I had cry for mercy and I ask ‘who’s in charge’ there will be someone I can deliver my grievance to that says ‘I am’.

So you see, I can not explain why I believe in ghost. I just do. I think it safe that way too. Freaky subjects are best considered slower and cautiously. I guess the best explanation is that it is like being afraid of the dark. I am afraid of the dark because I can’t see very far around me. I afraid of ghost because I don’t know what they are and I can’t see them. If I can’t see them then they just might be there.
